what’s old is new again!
For centuries, New Englanders have effectively governed themselves in a system of mutual cooperation called “direct democracy.” Until now, practical constraints limited this form of government to the scope of a small New England town. But the New England Town Meeting has always been a beacon of real democracy.
And NOW, new technology permits us to expand the scope of direct democracy without limits. In this way, Nevada Vote Direct incorporates a Decision Management System [DMS] to facilitate an electronic direct democracy encompassing the Second Congressional District in Nevada. We are demonstrating just one variant of a system by which citizens may actually assume direct control at any level of government.
