Mr. Rosen plans a grass-roots campaign, using primarily the Internet and direct mail to make voters aware of Nevada Vote Direct and his unique candidacy.

The other candidates from the two major parties, Democrats and Republicans, have raised well over a million dollars already for the campaign season. With this money they will expertly use every skill and ploy of persuasion in their TV and radio advertisements.

We wouldn’t want to hector and propagandize our fellow citizens even if we had the money to do it. Besides, as an organization we have no position, and our candidate has no position, on specific issues. We don’t need to argue about the issues with any and all adversaries. We’re tired of all that. We inform ourselves, and we make our own decisions. That’s what adults do. Here, the majority will of all of our members, whose positions cut right across the board, is the only thing that counts.

Instead of the traditional campaign, we want only to make every registered voter in our district aware that Nevada Vote Direct is offering for their consideration a historic new option in our political life. The best way to do that is by direct mail. We want to send out three simple brochures over the campaign season. These will explain who we are and how our voting system works.

This will require approximately $50,000 to produce and mail the brochures. That’s just 50 $1000 donations; or 500 $100 donations. You can help us raise this money.

• Have a fund-raising party in your house (or other suitable place) with our candidate, Mr. Rosen, as guest speaker.
• Go to public places or events to distribute our postcard advertisement, and gather contributions at the same time.
• Pass on the word to anybody who may be interested in contributing.
