Vox Populi is a software development firm based at Heavenly Valley, Lake Tahoe, Nevada.
Daniel Rosen, our CEO, is the inventor of the Decision Management System [DMS], which has been called "The Missing Link on the Internet."
In 2006, Mr. Rosen developed and implemented the world's first fully functional DMS at Nevada Vote Direct for the citizens of Nevada's Second Congressional District. He made technological and political history with the following pledge: " As your Representative in Congress, I will vote exactly as you, the citizens in my district, direct me to vote through your participation on this website, or by secure telephone connection to my office in Washington: no ifs, ands, or buts.”
Today, this project for citizen control of our congressional representatives in Washington continues under the auspices of America Vote Direct, which is providing fair and secure Decision Management Systems free of charge to candidates from every state who are making the same pledge. But this represents but one application of DMS technology, which promises to be a universal means for putting people in control of organizations and groups at all levels of society.
The Decision Management System is new, and still evolving. There is no one size that fits all. Thus, Vox Populi works with organizations and groups to customize Decision Management Systems for specific needs and context. We provide software design, and maintenance if desired, including Parlementarian services. Please contact us about the possibility of using one of our systems to facilitate decision-making in your group or organization.
Internet systems have incorporated every form of communication, and have provided for nearly limitless exchange and distribution of information. But this development is incomplete without the Decision Management System [DMS].
Imagine your body as a system of communication. Various parts receive and transmit information. When you see an approaching tiger, signals of alarm course through your body. Your heart responds in fear and trepidation. Vital information is getting through. That is not a problem.
But, what if the entire system is incapable of making a decision on the basis of this information? Will the feet run and carry the body to safety?
People are organized in groups large and small at all levels of society. In fact, the needs of society demand even more thoroughgoing organization in this time of accelerating crises involving corporate and governmental corruption, environmental degradation, consumer powerlessness, etc.
Even families find themselves adrift in a footloose world of national and international emigration, where the lure of jobs separates parents and children, brothers and sisters, cousins and aunts. The explosion of populations makes it increasingly difficult for people to meet in the same place and time to make decisions on vital issues of concern to them all.
Now, the Decision Management System is ready to step into the breach in order in order to facilitate decision-making in groups and organizations of all sizes. We no longer need to be constrained by representatives in government who do not represent; by leaders in environmental organizations, consumer groups, and labor unions, who are out of touch with their rank-and-file; by corporate executives who take the money and run.
As we say at Vox Populi, "Let the people decide."
Utilizing our historic revision of Robert's Rules of Order for the Internet, Vox Populi provides and maintains Decision Management Systems that are custom designed for every purpose. Whether you are an extended family that needs to decide where to have a reunion or what to do about an elderly grandparent in need, or a political constituency demanding faithful representation of your interests in government, we are here to facilitate the vital process of decision-making.
